Event Details

The Dog Costume Contest will occur at our Fall Festival on October 17th. Fall Festival Tickets are $15 per person ages 4+. Dog Contest entries are $15 and include the owners admission into festival grounds. The Fall Fest is open 10am-7pm with the Dog Contest occurring at 3pm. Our Fall Fest will have Hayrides, Paddle Boats, Splash Pad, Fishing, Inflatables, Goat Feeding, Vendors, Food, and Much More. Please contact us for any questions.

Dog Costume Contest

- Rules and Registration -

Location: Fall Festival at 7225 W FM 476, Poteet, Tx 78065

  1. All dogs must be registered and paid before participating. Contestant numbers will be provided at check-in and must remain visible.

  2. All contestants must begin lining up at 2:30 PM. The contest officially begins at 3:00 PM. Late arrivals are not guaranteed participation.

  3. Contestants do not have to walk in numerical order. Event staff will direct the lineup, and judges will identify dogs by their contestant numbers.

  4. Dogs must remain leashed and under their owner’s control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behavior may result in removal.

  5. Costumes must be safe, comfortable, and family-friendly. Costumes that restrict a dog’s movement, breathing, or vision, or contain inappropriate/offensive content, are not permitted.

  6. One registration per dog. Owners may walk the runway and are welcome to coordinate costumes with their dog!

  7. Judges’ decisions are final, and winners must be present for the awards presentation.

  8. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior, safety, and supervision. Participation is at the owner’s risk, and all contestants must follow event and contest rules.

  9. All Dogs must be current on vaccinations, including rabies. Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog meets all vaccination requirements before participating.

- How it Works -

  1. CHECK-IN 
    Check in upon arrival to receive your contestant number. Keep your number visible throughout the contest.

  2. 2:30 PM — LINEUP
    All contestants must begin lining up at 2:30 PM with dogs leashed, in costume, and ready to participate.

  3. 3:00 PM — CONTEST BEGINS 
    Contestants will walk the runway as directed by staff and do not need to go in numerical order.

  4. JUDGING 
    Judging will be based on:
    • Creativity & Originality
    • Costume Design & Detail
    • Overall Appearance• Runway Presentation

  5. WINNERS 
    After all dogs have walked, scores will be totaled and 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners will be announced.
